If you haven't heard of this label, we are pretty sure it won't be long until you do. Based in South London, Andy Touchfingers, Jafar and Maxime Cescau’s (AKA Poussez) Artizan Music was born in the Winter of 2005 as outlet for. The logical progression of their mutual studio marriage, Artizan rose like an electronic Phoenix from the ashes of Jafar & Touch’s previous imprint Kwaito Recordings. Artizan, as its namesake suggests, is home to the finest master craftsmen in the business.
The label’s vision is as an outlet for deep, electronic music for the modern dancefloor connaisseur. Artizan Music focuses on the very best in underground house and techno, aimed firmly at the club floor. After listening to their back catologue it becomes clear that as well as putting on quality events, they have a talented roster of international artists including Demarkus Lewis, Funky Transport, Terry Farley, Holmes & Watz, Rich Medina and many more.
Particular tracks that stand out for us are Jafar & Touch ft Rich Medina ‘The Undeniable Truth' and we loved the deep sounds of what is love - Poussez (right click to download) previously unreleased.
As well as quality output, they host regular events in and around London, including their bimonthly Uptown Boogiedown,and have hosted alongside Egg London, Retox, Sports Rave and the legendary Mulletover. Using their events to peddle the labels very own brand of deep, soulful electronic music, you can be sure that one of their events wil be a night of original beats and good vibes.
