Creamfields Licence Granted

One of the UK's biggest dance festivals,  Creamfields which takes place on August Bank Holiday weekend has been granted its licence at its festival site in Daresbury.

Halton Borough Council granted the license for the world famous music event at its regulatory committee meeting last night. The festival site in Daresbury has been home to the award winning festival since 2006, which saw Creamfields move from the Old Liverpool Airfield site in Speke. However council officers quashed hopes of a permanent licence at a hearing on Monday.

This year’s Creamfields festival will see a reduced number of up to 29,999 revellers unite at the site for the camping extravaganza.

Live music, film and dancing will be allowed from 2pm until 4am and alcohol sold from 2pm until 4.30am on the Saturday.

It will operate from 10am until 11pm on the Sunday, with alcohol being sold from 10am until 11.30pm.

Whilst the UK festival remains its flagship event, Creamfields remains the only festival concept that has successfully been established in the global market, this year will see Creamfields stage 10 festivals around the world including Argentina, Portugal, Romania, Brazil, Czech Republic, Spain, Mexico, Russia and entering new territories in Malta and the Ukraine.
